Trail Notes Park at the trailhead and access the start of this trail using the paved Shadow Canyon Access Trail. The trail leads to the top of Black Mountain, the highest point in the North McCullough Range at 5,023�. The view is truly breathtaking. The very top portion of this trail is a scramble among rock boulders. The northern section of the trail is very primitive and unimproved.
