Trail Notes This trail traverses an incredible variety of multi-colored landscapes with views of Frenchman Mountain and of the Las Vegas Valley. The rock layers that formed over the past 500 years are beautifully exposed at the surface. Plants and animals from each of the great eras (Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic) are fossilized in the layers and each layer has its own distinct color, ranging from subtle violet to brilliant gold.
