Trail Notes Owl Canyon is a delightful hike that begins near the water's edge and winds into a narrow slot canyon where birds of prey have been spotted in the past. The canyon is named after the White barn owls that live in the canyon. The trail is easily accessible via the 33-hole turnout on Lakeshore Drive. The trail starts from the end of the far left road called Three-Island Overlook. The narrow canyon was formed by flowing water cutting down through the conglomerate rock.
